Why
Standard hard pretzels contain no animal products. The exceptions are soft pretzels brushed with butter, honey-mustard and cheese coatings, and yoghurt-covered versions.
What to check on the label
- The ingredient list on your own pack — Pretzels recipes differ by country and change over time
- Milk, whey, casein, lactose, egg, honey, gelatin, carmine (E120) and shellac (E904) in the list

Is Pretzels certified vegan?
