Diageo installed a new filtration system at St James's Gate and stopped using fish-bladder finings. Guinness Draught, Extra Stout and the cans and bottles are labelled vegan-friendly. Some limited-run and speciality Guinness products may differ.

Is Guinness certified vegan?

Does the answer change between countries?
Often, yes. The same brand name can use different fats, emulsifiers, colours or whey depending on the plant that made it, so always read the local label rather than an answer written for another market.
