1. Yan àwọn oníṣẹ́ ìbánisọ̀rọ̀ tí àwọn olùgbọ́ rẹ ti gbà gbọ́
For a rural audience, a farmer who left pig production is worth more than a professor. For a religious audience, a pastor, rabbi or imam is worth more than an ethicist. For men aged 18–35, an athlete or a strength coach is worth more than either. This is not cynicism, it is how credibility works: people accept costly information from people they believe share their interests.
Practical version: before designing a campaign, write down who your audience already listens to, and go and find one.
2. Túmọ̀ sí èdè ìwà àwọn olùgbọ́
Moral-foundations research (Haidt, Graham and colleagues, and Feinberg & Willer's work on reframing) finds that conservatives respond more strongly to purity, loyalty and authority frames, and progressives to harm and fairness frames — and that reframing an argument into the audience's own foundation measurably increases persuasion.
For animals that translates cleanly. Purity: the sanitary reality of confinement systems and what ends up in the meat. Loyalty and tradition: what farming used to be and what industrialisation did to it. Authority and duty: what stewardship requires of those given power over creatures. Fairness: who pays the true cost of cheap meat.
- Keep the underlying facts identical across frames — only the entry point changes.
- Never use a frame you cannot defend honestly.
- Test frames on a real audience, not on your own group.

3. Jẹ́ kí gbogbo ìbéèrè jẹ́ ẹyọkan
The most successful animal campaigns of the last twenty years were narrow: cage-free egg commitments, gestation-crate bans, live-export restrictions, meat-free days in public canteens. Narrow asks let a coalition form around one point of agreement and disband before the disagreements surface.
The corollary is discipline. When someone offers to add an unrelated cause to your campaign, the answer is no — not because the cause is wrong, but because the campaign is not about it.
4. Ṣàyẹ̀wò èdè àti àwọn àwòrán rẹ
Run a page of your own materials through this checklist. Does it use vocabulary that reads as partisan shorthand? Does it assume the reader's position on unrelated issues? Does the photography use only one demographic? Does it treat rural people, hunters or farmers as an enemy class? Every yes costs you readers who agreed with the animal argument.
Replace judgement of persons with description of practices. 'People who eat meat are complicit' loses the room; 'here is what happens in a farrowing crate' keeps it.
5. Wọ̀n ohun tí ó tọ́
